This is an explanation of how things at S.A.W work:-
S.A.W is a Promo and Match-Write based E-Fed and Roleplaying Game. Matches will be fought via Match-Writing whilst Promo's will be used to help give your wrestler a higher status whilst the roleplaying aspects will promote you up the ranks in the Academy. All this will be explained in more detail below.
(1) Roleplaying
-At S.A.W you do everything in character as a student, from doing training sessions, to requesting matches and everything in between. These can be done alone or as part of two or more people.
-This is there for you to build your character in terms of his actual personality. Promo's and Live appearances in front of crowds will be used to build your character's gimmick. Unlike other feds, you actually play the person behind the wrestler as well as the wrestler himself.
-For example, Johnny could be suck-up type guy at the academy, who always tries to get in the staff's good books but on the nerves of his fellow colleagues, however as a wrestler he plays a heel, ego-maniac gimmick. You will always receive feedback upon completed Roleplay's.
-To keep everything in time-line, you mustn't be in more than one place at a time so in your first post in any thread, you should write down the date for when this is set. Whether it be before or a few days after the current date. Your efforts for taking part in these general Roleplay's will be rewarded with weekly experience points and money.
-Staff members will be controlling the NPC Staff on most occasions although you can Roleplay as them in your promo's (Excluding the Dean and Head Trainer). They will set certain scenario's to test you and your reaction will result in certain outcomes depending on how you respond.
(2) Experience Points
-Experience points will be one type of reward system at the academy. For good roleplaying, effort and improvement, experience points will be awarded. These will be given at the end of the week based upon your weekly performance and activity. As you gain more experience points, you will also gain in character rewards and ranks.
-The main purpose would be to gain enough points to reach the next contract level. You start off at Trainee and must build yourself up to a Rookie and then a Professional. There are also levels based upon your wrestling performances in terms of winning and performing in matches. These will also gain you experience and help you climb from bottom carders to main-event material and as such gain opportunities to win a title-shot.
-Gaining experience also influences your chances of being promoted from the weekly gym show to live shows in front of audiences.
(3) Money
-Depending on the level of your contract, you will earn a weekly wage as well as the chance to earn bonuses for winning or performing well. Money can be used to purchase custom weapons for your character for gimmick matches, a better wardrobe for the promo's and appearances in the ring as well as the dream car you always wanted to purchase. As in real life, this money can be used to purchase almost anything; from a plasma screen T.V. for your dorm-room or even an apartment.
-Requests to purchase various items will be handled by the staff and money will be deducted accordingly. Make sure to keep everything as realistic as possible.
(4) Matches
-There will be weekly matches assigned to all under contract at the academy unless you wish to be left off the card. Matches are match-write based where you actually roleplay the matches happening and at the end of the week, a staff member will judge this and declare the winner.
-There are three types of shows that will happen at S.A.W :
-Weekly Matches that will occur in the gym in front of the trainers, other wrestlers and maybe a few members of the public who wish to pay a visit and watch. These will be without commentators or entrances etc. The competitors start off in the ring with a referee and compete against one another.
-Weekly Show that will occur in various places, from time to time as the show becomes more popular.
-The default place for this is the Hustlers that is down the road from the academy where local boxing matches take place, so an entrance theme, ramp and ring are provided, although no special effects, fireworks or titan-trons. Two of the trainers will also provide commentary on the match. Other locations will be provided as the show gains popularity.
-Tours and PPV shows will occur from time to time for a selected group of wrestlers who will travel to different parts of the country or world to perform in front of larger, more demanding audiences.
These will be explained in more detail when the match-cards go up.
