The room looks like a typical sports gymnasium with a few benches placed along the walls and rubber mats placed on the ground surrounded by four posts linked together with three lines of wired roping to produce a make-shift ring. From the door situated to the left of the room, the three trainers enter, one following the other. Leading the charge is the Head Trainer of the Solitary Academy of Wrestling, Wayne Fitzpatrick. Following behind him are lean Lee Carter and the large and bulky, Adam Atkins. They're all dressed in wrestling gear and look pretty serious, except for Carter who seems to have a giddy smile across his face. Wayne approaches and extends his hand for a handshake before addressing the newcomer. -Wayne Fitzpatrick- "Welcome to Solitary Academy of Wrestling Mr. Richards. I am the head trainer Wayne Fitzpatrick and these are two of our senior trainers, Lee Carter and Adam Atkins."
Both trainers lean forward and shake Owen's hand. Adam providing a firm handshake due to his strong, large hands. "Now judging from your application it would seem that you specialize in technique whilst also exploring a bit of brawling and aerial-ism. That's a good approach and it also means you will be assigned under my supervision being that technical ability is my area of expertise."
"Now in case you're not aware why we have called you out here, let me tell you this is the audition's hall and here we test your skills to see where you fit in and measure your wrestling abilities. Now I'm not one who likes to waste time so I would suggest you get in the ring and prepare yourself. Your sparring opponent will be Lee Carter. Now let me tell you, Lee is very quick in the ring and he happens to be very skilled in the agility department of wrestling so you'll have to be quick on your feet and will need to move around if you want to be able to compete with him. Adam will act as the referee whilst I will judge and instruct you from outside the ring." Both Lee Carter and Adam Atkins make their way into the ring as Wayne continues to explain the details of the match.
"The match will end when one of you is pinned, submits or can not continue to fight. Illegal moves are not allowed and do not go overboard with the knee's, elbow's and knuckles, this is a sparring contest not an actual fight. I want you to show of your skills, show me what you are capable of. Now whenever your ready, you can begin."

Owen: Yes Sir.
Owen approaches the make shift ring, his nerves showing only a little as he steps through the ropes and into the ring. Owen takes a deep breath and limbers up a moment before smiling sheepishly and making his way towards Lee Carter. Lee, without hesitation rushes towards Owen who barely manages to get out of the way of his path. Owen dips down into a low stance, his hands down by his side at their ready. Owen quickly rushes Carter, wraps his hands around his waist, and lifts him into the air. Lee Easily slips behind O.R.'s back and rolls him up into a pin, Adam slides into position but before he can even make a one Owen rolls back to his feet, grabs Lee's legs, and flips forward landing back first across Lee's chest. Adam, still in position from the other pin goes to count again, but again the pin is broken up before one. Lee bridges upwards and twists once on his feet, placing Owen between his legs. Owen grabs Lee's legs and tosses him over his back where he lands on the padding causing the sound to echo throughout the empty room. Owen sends himself towards the ropes and bounds into them, the ropes tighten and send him back towards Lee who remains on the ground. Richards gets about six inches from Lee Carter and hops up into the air, crosses his arms across his chest, and lands back first atop of Lee before quickly flipping himself over and going for a quick cover. The tank of a ref, Adam Atkins, slides himself next to the two men and starts his count, this time managing to get a one before Lee rolls to the side and lifts a shoulder off of the mat to break the count. Owen scrambles to his feet, followed closely behind by Lee Carter. Owen, heeding the advice of Head Trainer Wayne Fitzpatrick, begins moving around the ring in an attempt to counter Lee's quickness. Lee shoots for Owen's legs but misses, Owen then rolls up the staggered trainer prompting Atkins over to them.

The count is breaks up immediately resulting in both men getting to their feet. The two lock up in the center of the ring, O.R. comes out on top, locking his arms around Lee's waist but Lee manages to wriggle free, getting behind Owen in the process, countering the freshman and executing a double knee back-breaker. -Wayne Fitzpatrick- "Hold it a second there guys, I want to try something a little different. Owen I want you to try and take a different, more cautious approach. Due to your heavy build, you are at a speed disadvantage compared to Lee here so he'll always come out on top in that battle.
Why don't you attempt to lock him in some submission holds, wear him down and put some pressure onto him. A wrestling match is 50% Physical and 50% Mental. Wear your opponent down mentally by not allowing him to get his way about in the ring. Now I want you to lock in some submissions and try using your build to knock him down flat. Now I hear your comfortable in the air, let see some entertainment. You want to be able to entertain the crowd as well as win a match." With the referee's signal, the two continue their little sparring contest. Lee has a huge grin across his face, as he is clearly enjoying going up against a tough, young opponent. TBC ...

Owen grins back, a feeling of relief washes over upon hearing Wayne Fitzpatrick's instructions. Owen looks into Lee Carter's eyes, and slowly begins getting into his zone. The two men circle one another once again, this time however it's Owen who strikes first, moving towards Lee from the side, Lee attempts to roll away from Owen but gets grabbed from behind by Owen who clasps his arms around his abdomen. Owen tries to lift Lee up, but Lee lowers his center of gravity and fires back a left elbow followed by a right. Owen gets rocked by Lee's heavy elbows and staggers away, Lee sees his opponent's state and hits the ropes, rebounding towards Owen Lee jumps into the air firing the length of his body at Owen, he lands flush and both men fall to the ground. Lee, seeing his opponent already fighting to get to a stand, doesn't bother with a pin and instead gets to a stand himself. Owen gets halfway up, and instead of going the rest of the way catches Lee off guard by lunging forward and taking his legs out from under him. Owen grabs Lee's left leg and wraps his own right leg against it before dropping to his back and grapevining himself around Lee's leg. Lee reaches out to his side for the ropes but is unable due to his positioning in the middle of the squared circle. Adam Atkins kneels next to the two men and asks Lee if he wants to give, Lee shakes his head no and tries to roll to his right, Owen feels him start to do this and quickly shifts his own weight to the left preventing Lee's escape and putting a little more pressure on the hold at the same time.

Lee struggles with the submission maneuver at first but manages to escape eventually but before he could try something of his own, Wayne calls it off. -Wayne Fitzpatrick- "That's enough guy, lets wrap it up. Lee you can go hit the showers, you've worked up a sweat."
Lee slips out of the ring and jogs on the spot a little before coming to a stand-still, in an attempt to cool down and drop the adrenaline rush. -Lee Carter- "Nah, I'm cool, ... but the kids has got quite some skill and spirit."
-Wayne Fitzpatrick- "Yes, indeed he does. Thanks for your input. Now Owen, that was quite a good showing. There was definitely quite a lot of talent there and a whole load more potential but there were also flaws in your style. Your anticipation is below par for a technician as are your body movement's. A bit slow, but that could be because you aren't used to heavy competition. I want you to have a few training sessions with Lee Carter here so that you could improve on your in ring speed and agility and above all your stamina. This was a mere training drill and you're out of breath already."
"Overall your audition was a success. Once Lee tells me your in shape, we'll begin working on improving your wrestling skills. We'll conclude this session. Hit the shower and report for training for tomorrow. Could you also pay a visit to the medical staff during some time this week so we can assess any physical problems that you may have. Don't want to have an injury hidden somewhere in your bones and we end up aggravating even further. Once you get a report from them, make sure to come and show it to me. Now off you go, I'll see you soon."
