Anubis Audition

[Anubis]

John Matthews had walked into the rather large audition hall, a lot of questions began to spiral into his head. Why was he here? What was the point in a audition for a wrestling gig? John was not worried though, he would easily fly threw this audition and he would quickly make his way up the ladder. John dressed in jeans a tank top and converse shoes. looked at the bag that was in his hand. In that bag was his wrestling attire. He waited for the audition to begin

[Desperado]

From the door situated to the left of the room, the three trainers enter, one following the other. Leading the charge is the Head Trainer of the Solitary Academy of Wrestling, Wayne Fitzpatrick. Following behind him are lean Lee Carter and the large and bulky, Adam Atkins. They're all dressed in wrestling gear and look pretty serious. Wayne approaches and extends his hand for a handshake before addressing the newcomer.

-Wayne Fitzpatrick-
"Welcome to Solitary Academy of Wrestling Mr. Matthews. I am the head trainer Wayne Fitzpatrick and these are two of our senior trainers, Lee Carter and Adam Atkins."

Both trainers lean forward and shake John's hand. Adam providing a firm handshake due to his strong, large hands.

"Now judging from your application it would seem that you specialize in the technical region of wrestling but in your contract you've put yourself down as a light-heavyweight. Now as a technical light-weight, you need to be able to take an aerial approach to matches as well as have some good in ring agility. For now you will be assigned under my supervision being that technical ability is my area of expertise."

"Now in case you're not aware why we have called you out here, let me tell you this is the audition's hall and here we test your skills to see where you fit in and measure your wrestling abilities. Now I'm not one who likes to waste time. So unless you wrestle in jeans, I suggest you get into your wrestling gear.

Your sparring opponent will be Lee Carter. Now let me tell you, Lee is very quick in the ring and he happens to be very agile so you'll have to be quick on your feet. Adam will act as the referee whilst I will judge and instruct you from outside the ring."

Both Lee Carter and Adam Atkins make their way into the ring as Wayne continues to explain the details of the match.

"The match will end when one of you is pinned, submits or can not continue to fight. Illegal moves are not allowed and do not go overboard with the knee's, elbow's and knuckles, this is a sparring contest not an actual fight. I want you to show of your skills, show me what you are capable of. Now whenever your ready, you can begin."

[Anubis]

John looked at the man and listened to what he had said, this was turning out to be a little complicated. He went into a restroom changed into his gear and came out, he entered the ring and prepared him self.

Anubis: Come on bring it!

[Desperado]

(OOC: Since you're not used to how we do this, I'll start you off and you can continue...)

Lee Carter smiled at his pupil, he loosened his shoulders and with Adam's approval, both John and Lee locked up in the center of the ring. Lee's experience kicked in immediately as he took control of the grapple hold, trapping John Matthew's head into a vice before swiping the floor beneath him. Anubis landed on the mat, a little disappointed with himself before regaining a stance as Lee waited for him.

-Wayne Fitzpatrick-
"Don't worry about it, take your time and think what your doing thoroughly. Lee's a fast and strong opponent so you'll have to be exceptional. Now show me what you can do."

Anubis nodded at his assigned trainer before charging in Lee's direction with a raised arm, the clothesline almost catches Lee but the Austrian manages to evade it at the last moment. Matthew's continues his run, running into the ropes before bouncing back at a quicker speed. Lee immediately drops on the floor, his in-ring experience kicking in subconsciously. John jumps over him, this time rebounding against the opposite end of the ropes. The Austrian didn't expect Anubis to be able to control his speed so lowered his head, planning to use John's own speed against him but the freshman managed to come to a halt before approaching Lee, who was in a bent forward position. Showing his technical ability, Anubis vaults over Lee's body, performing a somersault flip before going for the quick pin.

Adam slides into position and strikes the mat, ... One ... Two, Lee pulled away after two but he seemed impressed as did the man outside the ring.

"Great work kid, that's what I'm talking about."

Anubis quickly felt that he almost had the match one and that it was time to finish this, Anubis, rose to his feet and waited for his opponent to get to his, Anubis charged at the ropes and came full speed at Lee and hit him with the Big boot, lee dropped to the ground and Anubis looked at were he was the center of the ring. John went for a pin and adam slid into position and started to strike the mat.

1...2..... Kickout.

Anubis rose to his feet and looked at adam the frustration on his face building. While Anubis is not paying attention he traps john in a sleeper hold. The air being cut off.

Wayne: Come on kid you can still win this.

(OOC Thats all im going to do untill i get more comfortable with it sorry)

(Alright, that was not bad at all, minus the few spelling/grammar errors. For a match, this would go perfectly well, although would require to have more content but you've got the general idea going and you're far better than most who start off. Don't forget this is a sparring contest so its not really about winning or losing but rather testing your skill.)

With the sleeper hold locked in and time being consumed, Wayne interrupts the submission hold prompting Lee to let go.

-Wayne Fitzpatrick-
"Break it up guys, we can work on escaping from submissions and stuff later, for now I want some quick action, moving about. Now John don't get too frustrated, this is you showing off your skills. Its an audition and in an audition you go all out. Go for the fancy stuff and keep me entertained. Now when you're ready, ..."

Lee gives Anubis a friendly smile, almost as if to say, 'Show me what you got.' Anubis measured up his opponent, looked him in the eye before locking horns once again. This time, he had a game plan. Lifting his knee into Carter's midsection, he took control of the situation, placing his head beneath Carter's lifted arm whilst wrapping his own around Carter's head. Anubis then took a deep breath before hoisting his adversary into the air, holding him a few seconds, using his free arm to support the lift before bringing him back down into the canvas with a vertical suplex.

"Now that's what I'm talking about."

John simply sat up and looked at his opponent. The damage from the suplex had left him on his back and Anubis could feel that now would be a good time to end the match. So with no time to waste, he got to his feet and went to the corner and crouched with one arm over the rope and the other motioning for his opponent to get up. Lee slowly got to his feet and Anubis charged at him, He drove Lee down with a Spear and on instinct he went for the cover. Adam was in position to make the count.

Adam: One...... Two..... KICKOUT

It was amazing, lee carter had just kicked out of the best move in Anubis's moveset. Anubis looked at Wayne and then at Adam. Anubis had no need to get frustrated. So he looked at Carter and gotr him in a Figure 4 neck Lock

[Desperado]

Carter struggled under the pressure for a while, the agony causing him to scrunch his face as he attempts to reach the nearest rope. Luckily for him, his feet weren't too far away from them and with one high effort movement, his foot managed to clip onto the bottom rope. Adam broke up the submission as Wayne called for the audition to end.

-Wayne Fitzpatrick-
"That's enough guy, lets wrap it up. Lee you can go hit the showers."

Lee slips out of the ring right behind Anubis, takes a breather before shaking hands with Anubis and heading off.

-Wayne Fitzpatrick-
"Impressive work. I enjoyed your work but there were several flaws in your execution, you leave to many gaps open so in a real match you would find yourself vulerenable."

"Overall your audition was a success. Now I want you to book a session with Adam for training preferably tomorrow if that's alright with you Adam."

Adam nods.

"We'll conclude this session. Hit the shower and report for training for tomorrow. Could you also pay a visit to the medical staff during some time this week so we can assess any physical problems that you may have. Don't want to have an injury hidden somewhere in your bones and we end up aggravating even further. Once you get a report from them, make sure to come and show it to me. Now off you go, I'll see you soon."
